State Regulation Examples

Several states have developed external firewood quarantines. Some of these quarantines also incorporate restrictions and requirements for within state movement of firewood. Florida was the first state to pass a state external quarantine on firewood. The examples below are not exhaustive of all firewood regulations across the country. The quarantines selected for inclusion were those that focus on the firewood pathway rather than those that include firewood as a regulated article for a specific pest quarantine.
